Alec and Mike - Civic Engagement Co-chairs

Mission Statement:

It is the mission of the Civic Engagement Committee to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to all members of UW-HOSA with an emphasis on the collaboration with pre-established organizations within the community.

Membership Expectations

• Plan a volunteer event on your own or with another committee member
• OR Research an ongoing volunteer opportunity that we can get involved with
• Strive to collaborate with other student organizations and/or other HOSA committees
• Be present and actively participate in committee meetings
• Attend a committee social or meet with the two Co-Chairs outside of HOSA meetings

Alec Budzinski

Hello!  My name is Alec Budzinski and I am a Junior this year here at the UW.  I am majoring in pre-exercise and movement science and hope to attend Med School.  My other interests include working out, drumming, finding new music, concerts, football, hockey and biking. Someday I would like to travel the world.

Mike Wedoff

Hi! My name is Mike Wedoff and I am a Sophomore here at the UW.  My major is biology and I am currently Pre-Med.  My interests are biking and skiing.  Playing piano is also a passion of mine and I’m a part of the UW Jazz Orchestra.  One interesting fact about me is that I sleepwalk and talk… a lot.  What I love most about HOSA is that it gives me the chance to spend time with many like minded peers all the while helping the community as well as myself.
